Ceramics ● Porcelain ● Design Market
For the fifth annual event, we have decided to restructure the former ceramics and porcelain sales exhibition in the Augarten. With the move from the Viennese Porcelain Manufactory Augarten to the MuseumsQuartier the event has also been renamed: POTS und BLITZ – Ceramics ● Porcelain ● Design Market
„Pots“ stands for the crafted objects, which could not have been created without a flash of inspiration, or „Geistesblitz“. We chose the MuseumsQuartier as the new venue, among other things, because of its cultural location, historic atmosphere, ideal infrastructure and the diverse cultural and gastronomical facilities on site. In this way the event will not only be visited by lovers and connoisseurs of modern ceramics but will also attract a wider public.
Around 50 selected ceramic artists from Austria and the neighboring countries presented the finest ceramic art in all its facets. Only handcrafted individual pieces or small series were presented. All exhibitors stood for rich diversity and highest quality in ceramic art.

The porcelain painter Brigitte Riedl introduced children to the art of porcelain painting in a playful way. Each child could paint its own underwater landscape on plates. The workshop took place in the studio of the mumok – Museum für moderne Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien.
If you always wanted to know how figures and porcelain objects are painted, you could watch the porcelain painter Brigitte Riedl at work. It took place in the foyer of the MuseumsQuartier.
We have always been particularly attracted to art and design. As organisers, we are responsible for the conception, planning and implementation and also the marketing and public relations of the Christmas and Easter Market in front of Schönbrunn Palace. The design sales exhibition WeihnachtsQuartier in the MuseumsQuartier and the Schloss Hof Christmas Market are also under the care of MTS Wien since 2017.
We look forward to welcome you to the design sales exhibition and are glad to answer any questions you might have.
